Approaching this assignment, I was unsure of any clear idea. Given my lack of technical knowledge regarding the software, I used what I did know to make an attractive assortment of shapes using complementary colors.

Regarding the theme surrounding dreams, I thought of the idea to convey the chaotic nature a dream can have. I wanted to maintain the color theme I had already set in motion, so I continued using purple. I used a picture of my dad and a continuously moving set of question marks. Then, for interactivity, I had error messages pop up randomly every time the user clicked on the screen.

Infographic

When making an infographic, my main goal is to communicate data efficiently while also creating something visually striking. I thoroughly enjoyed this project, and I think it shows in the final product.

Zine

This assignment challenged me to work quickly and efficiently. For me, the project was an assessment of my use of color and ability to work with vectors.

Collage

Whenever I make collages, my main focus is finding a central point of focus that will make the collage interesting. When I saw this stuffed lamb along with several industrial magazines I had gathered, I had a clear vision of what to do.

Fungi Land

Previously, I had never made a game before. Since I was unfamiliar with any type of game engine, I wanted to prioritize art direction over lighting and effects. Using mushrooms, I was able to create a cohesive and unique world.
